In Memoriam – Thomas Carella

Thomas Carella

Tom Carella died March 2, 2018. He was 89.

Born on June 22, 1928 in San Francisco, he graduated from Lincoln High School in San Francisco. He served in the U. S. Army and then had a lengthy career in his family’s poultry business. Later, he worked at Granite Brothers in the jewelry business.

He met his wife Vida (Marchetti) at Westlake in Daley City and the couple married in 1954. They moved to San Carlos. In retirement, they moved to Sun City Lincoln Hills in 2002. They were two of the early members of the Lincoln Hills Italian Club.

Tom enjoyed playing pool and poker, traveling and taking cruises with his wife, and being part of the Italian Club’s activities.

He leaves his wife of 63 years, Vida, and their three sons, David, Paul and Michael.
