Board Meeting Request
Any member requesting to attend a regular Board of Directors meeting shall complete the “Board Meeting Request Form” below and submit it to the LHIC President at least 14 days prior to the meeting date. The board usually meets on the first Wednesday of each month. The form will require a detailed statement as to the reason for request to attend. The Board cannot and will not give consideration to any comment or request sent anonymously.
The member will be notified before the Board Meeting if his/her request was approved at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors. If approved, the Member’s participation shall be limited to a specific time set aside during the meeting and limited to the specific matter which the member has set forth in the request form. Attendance is limited to no more than 2 requesting members per meeting.
At the conclusion of the member’s presentation the member will be excused and the Board meeting shall continue on with regular Board business as on the current agenda.
The Board will not discuss, respond to, or take any action while the Member is present.
After due deliberation, and within a reasonable timeframe, the LHIC President will inform the member of the Boards’ decision and/ or comments relative to the Member’s presentation.
The Board reserves the right to exclude/excuse any Member from the Board meeting for disorderly or disrespectful conduct.
